Training
The Arizona Department of Public Safety, along with other Arizona law enforcement agencies, has provided training to Mexican officers in the States of Sonora and Baja California in various topics. This is another way of demonstrating our genuine interest in the on-going cooperation. Following are more examples of training provided to our counterparts across the border.
Tactical Training
In August 2007, the Phoenix Police Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with PISA, conducted a seven day Tactical Training for visiting members of the Sonora State Police and Hermosillo Municipal Police in Phoenix.

Money Laundering Class
In August 1995, the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office provided a two-day class on how to investigate money-laundering operations to approximately thirty Mexican Federal Prosecutors.
